My group played with it since ruins felt a bit pointless due to windows all the way back in 5th.
The whole blocking by leaving just enough room not to reach we honestly haven't used. Again because we got melee armies running around that would be massively nerfed by a none fluffy game mechanic.
Then I again, I do find the idea of telling your DG to "Go around you fat fuck" kinda funny.
