Anyone that i want to see is, evidently, extremely low on the priority list. I'm not exactly in a position to complain, i've at least gotten a couple alts for my favorites, but it still sucks to get snubbed twice in one year when you were so sure both times.

For me, it's that half of the characters are just Marth's moveset and two more are there as advertisements that you need to pay for.
You know, let's just be honest, looking in on Smash it can feel like Fire Emblem gets preferential treatment. Sm4sh had Roy (who was the only real choice for a Melee vet after Mewtwo) and Corrin, the first blatent advertisement, while also tripling their reps from Brawl. Ultimate gave us Chrom (who i think people were begrudgingly fine with since they outright said "it's him or nothing," plus he had memes on his side), and then the second blatent advertisement for a game that didn't need it in Byleth. Meanwhile, Zelda has been stuck with two Links, really three now, Zelda/Sheik, and Falcondorf, but now he has Ike's smash attacks, since Melee. Midna and Skull Kid are right there. Heck, Hector is right there, throw him in to replace Roy and you instantly have a character that stands out from the rest of his series.
While I'm at it, Ultimate's dlc was trash outside of Banjo, maybe Terry.

That's probably not true though, the last Awakening wouldn't have been complete dogshit if they weren't worried about Grima creeping up in rank otherwise.
