There's no such thing as game journalism. It was reviews, previews, interviews, publisher access. Magazines were distribution for press releases.

Now publishers stream media events direct to consumers. YouTube and Twitch has you covered. Back in the day people would buy based off of a couple tiny pictures on the back of the box, now there's so much easy information.

Gamjournos try to pretend covering workplace gossip is "journalism". It's all tabloid slop.

I dont have too much to say really as ive only been there since early may but they do get very skittish over stuff, like if you dont have your pass on youd be stopped and questioned and potentially held to confirm you actually work there, if there is a car in the carpark that they dont recognise they send security out, gotta put in like 3 lengthy as fuck passwords just to get into my computer and thats before trying to get into any software. I do wonder what they hide. They have security everywhere as well that constantly eye you up. There was apparently a bomb evacuation at the building a few months prior to me starting which is kinda wild, they also sometimes get groups of protesters which hover near the main entrance.
