Has anyone on your team ever gotten fired for a reason you don't believe?
A dev on our team got fired a couple of weeks back, I was on PTO so I wasn't around for that announcement. My manager and SM were pretty weird about it and offered very sparse/vague information, something about "low performance" - and that was that.
This guy wasn't the #1 performer on the team but he was still pretty good at his job, hell he was better than me on some things. Never caught any vibes that he was being lazy or slacking off. And even if he was wouldn't they at least put him on a PIP or something first? What are the chances he wasn't fired for performance at all and it was some nefarious criminal shit and they were just being all PC about it? This shit feels off
