Glad, I try to make them as high quality a I can without being so perfectionist about them that I never finish anything.
I like grimdarks, I just wished more authors of them kept the ponies more in character. I know that sounds like a stupid complaint, characters being uncahracteristically mean in a grimdark MLP story, but I do think it's possible to have darker stories with grim subject matter that has the characters still in character. There's enough of a foundation that characters can be meaner than you would expect without them being OOC, some are harder than others obviously(Applejack is obviously one that's pretty difficult to write as mean-spirited without it being super OOC), but there's enough flexibility to make it work, especially if you go the route of actually going in on the difficulties a human would face in trying to adapt to an alien culture as I like to emphasize in my own works.
