See picrel. They held 7% of Ukraine before the invasion. They now hold about 19%, which means they took 12% in those 3 years.
Now, you might think this means they take 4% per year on average, but the vast majority of what they currently hold was taken during the initial surprise invasion. Russia has taken maybe 3% of Ukraine since then (being generous + not counting the territory they lost during 2022 Ukrainian offensives). This cost them casualties in the 7 digits and tens of thousands of vehicles, btw.
