It's okay to have a modern console. But if you only have a modern console and no computer, then you're not really into video games as a hobby.
It's not like it's the end of the world or anything, nobody needs to make video games their hobby, but I believe that most people who come to /v/ to post are deep enough into this shit to be considered hobbyists.
These threads, then, are not made by /v/ users for /v/ users.

Consoles are secondary, but still necessary. The newest version of Densha de Go, for example, was never released for PCs, and the emulation of the Switch version is quite poor because it is one of those games that does not receive attention from emulator programmers.
Games like this, however, which are completely unplayable on PCs, are becoming increasingly rare.
