I think the issue is more on how the industry is nowadays. Isekai is basically that Fantasy School Harem subgenre in steroids nowadays.
Basically, anything can get adapted. The reason the names are super long? Because the web novel sites are bloated so they started putting the synopsis on the title. Some contests forbid the genre.
There is too much cookie and cutter, too many people that don't bother thinking things through, many of them it's the first attempt and lately they are being isekai for the sake with it with it just being ''game the guy heard about'', someone that has no idea what's even going on etc. People stopped bothering with the world and going for the adventure.
And now the wish fulfillment is spouting even new subgenres like people kicked out of the party with the world being game-like for no reason with classes and all but some convoluted explanation on kicking out the protagonist of it.
I like those things and all, but people aren't even trying anymore. That's why I like the Heavy Knight Isekai, or the Live Dungeon one. Those stories were written by min-maxer people with notion of team building and struggles leveling up. There is a purpose in the medium and in turn this gives them a goal in adventuring more than ''I reincarnated with X cheat skill so I will do Y''.
