the moment population growth gets negative, the growing (as a percentage) non-productive class is parasitizing upon the shrinking productive class, causing a death spiral
so they either abandon these policies and accept the resulting societal and humanitarian fallout (cucked pensioners starving by the millions) or they continue the ponzi until automation bails them out
