I'm not the anon who first brought up SOS Subs and recommended against them in the last thread here
>>58198624 but I agree with what they said.
>Nta but then provide an alternative for subs.
You say that as if there even is an alternative. That's the point anon, there isn't. Until SOS started subbing from the very beginning large parts of the anime were completely without any subs regardless of quality. For hundreds of episodes the only subs are from SOS. And that's where the frustration comes from, it's not there is an alternative you can use short of learning the language yourself.
>This became more about their policies rather than the factual translations.
You either didn't read it or didn't understand what you were reading. It's about both. The people running SOS Subs fansub group are a load of mentally ill LGBT types. That doesn't mean they aren't able to translate accurately. Mental illness and Japanese language ability are not mutually exclusive. However, as another anon pointed out in the last thread (which you would know if you had actually read it), their translations are shit as demonstrated by the screenshot which shows akiko / bumblyumbly who is the one who has singlehandedly done all translation and subtitling on the project talking nonsense and and demonstrating that she (it? they?) don't understand basic Japanese grammar which leads to them inserting tranny headcanon psychosexual analysis into pokémon battle moves.
The translations aren't factual because they are simultaneously handicapped by lack of ability in the Japanese language and also negatively influenced by their LGBT tranny mental illness politics. Where their Japanese ability lacks they are substituting their mental illness.
