It wasn't a dilemma of morals, but one of desire.
Of course you know that the people in living memory aren't real in any the world or the game accepts, but at the same time the ability to visit with the dearly departed would pose a great temptation to anyone who has known loss.
Unfortunately 7.0 was ass and was very tepid on the implications and stakes. Everyone got a farewell, and even the memories were tired of their limited existence. No conflict to get in the way of plot.
No Krile's parents didn't want to stay and catch up with their daughter, no Namikka didn't feel cheated by the time that she lost with Wuk, no Cahciua didn't actually want to live out her dream of exploring the world.
They just wanted to die, so you don't even have to worry about feeling bad or any implications that they are simply a different form of life or anything complicated like that.
