Because Satan can quote the law, he did when he tried to tempt Jesus. The religious won’t be able to resist the alluring prideful pull of the law because they believe it’s how they’re saved, when in reality they’re self righteous apostates who think they have to act out their faith, when in reality what they’re doing is showing they have faith in themselves over what Jesus did for them for free, and eventually Satan will force these people to yield to him using the law.
There’s a reason why Paul says he counts himself dead to the law so that he can gain Christ. He disowned his religion and rank. Early Christian’s didn’t go to a building, they were being hunted by religious men of all cultures and backgrounds.
You simply believe the gospel and you’re saved. And the evidence for it is that you believe it. That’s the simplicity of it, it’s not advocating for religion, it’s condemning it and this explains why religion is still clearly present on the earth during the end.
