Also, I think it's Logudorese that is described as the closest to Latin but only in very basic comparisons. That's mostly from lexical similarities.
Sardinian preserves a lot of Latin Latin forms, but it really isn't all that similar to Latin. It's certainly the closest; but Vulgar Latin and Classical differ to such a large degree that none is particularly similar to Classical.
Limba Sarda Comuna is most similar to Nuorese, or so I've been told. I don't know enough to say anything conclusively.
