Fact of the matter is that the core conflict of WalMartMan was already shown in BvS and done so in superior manners in just five minutes.

Look what a geniune depiction this is of Superman. Snyder doesn't attempt to trivialize his critics into being pure satire. They all come with different interpretations of his actions and character. His silence speaks volumes, wanting his actions to speak for themselves. Snyder's Superman does not need to cry in front of Lois about Twitter warriors being mean to him. He understands they will misunderstand him and accepts that. He requires guidance from his loved ones but never tries to assert dominance over them. This is the real depiction of Superman. Not Gunn's slap stick depiction that is insulting to anyone above the IQ of an online comic book manchild. When he calls his mother, his first question is about them, not about his own ego. And his exhausted tone implies someone with good intentions but not of unstable temper.
Why anybody thought a quip-obsessed manchild pedophile was suitable for the job of adapting Superman is beyond me.
