You actually bring up something I've been going trough.
You won't notice it on a bst but as I've been working a regular 9-5, I've been outright tossing shit.
I'm slowly coming around to understanding that if something isn't being used and is otherwise replaceable then get rid of it.
That one time you might need something from the pile can just be bought.

I guess this is the difference between being more middle class and not being poor where you tend to hoard things because you are afraid of being without.

Of course having more disposable income does mean the hoard probably will grow again, but it's atleast stuff I really care about and not junk from 20 years ago.

I made a vain attempt to manage cables which mostly involved a power strip and zip tying power adapters under the desk
