If Silver and Whisper's relationship was better written it would be about Silver trying to make her smile again and him being similar to all her old teammates(young like Slinger, psychic like Claire, protective like Smithy) instead of the mentor angle they tried to go for before realizing that Silver isn't as infantile as they thought he was.
