Don't be stupid. This is clearly a man picking fruit from some type of plant. Art then was very simple, and depth/perspective was limited. I believe the caricature is of aman picking berries by the handful. In his other hand, he has a bucket or bag to drop them in.
Stop trying to overthink and analyze things looking for answers. What is more likely, a shitty 2d art piece from hundreds of years ago or a magical time traveling, super-weapon clutch that is extremely well hidden or no longer exists circa 2025?
