It sounds like you're a stupid person. I've been on 4chan longer than you, and the quality of the website shouldn't ruin what you already enjoy. All it does it stop you from trying new things, because the fanbases are so horrible you don't even want to speak to them.
If you don't like /v/, then change board maybe. Sometimes a person can be so unhappy with the board that they leave it. I did it with /tv/.

This is what I wanted to say. The strongest gatekeeping is when the game itself keeps people out. There's a reason that 4chan doesn't play certain games, and it's because those games just crush stupid people and cowards. There happens to be an entire website full of those people.

I will probably play Dota 2 like I always do. I played a bit of Baldur's Gate 3 recently, so that's an option too.

>Video game skill is 100% genetic, therefore cheating is just about evening the playing field.

Yeah, that's not a good argument at all. If someone plays 10,000 hours to become good, and you just install an aimbot, how is that "evening the playing field". Have you ever played something you can't cheat in?

They don't. I never want to see my FPS, because I think it'd be distracting. HOWEVER, I do play with my ping visible in Dota 2. It's really important to know whether I'm lagging or not. The people who play with FPS shown are just flexing on you.
