even so a tiny boost can lead to a huge increase in productivity, the actual move speed boosts provided by the genes are not enormous but they have major impact because time spent traveling is time wasted. the more sprawl your base has the more impactful it is. so even a tiny free boost has a huge gameplay impact.

this is the xenogerm everyone has. strong blood started showing up in the children and i plan to pair them off to reinforce it. the two younger girls both have it, Thomas has it and i cloned him (Gemini) so he has it as well.

it was a real struggle to keep everyone fed with a vegetarian diet and 150% hunger. the strong blood children have 175%. now we have a pretty robust farming/dairy/egg industry but that first year was lean.

it's obscured but that thing has 150% food requirement. 175% with the strong blood gene. it's unironically a challenge to feed them, especially babies, babies get hungry so fast they don't really sleep. i had to vat grow everyone until they could feed themselves.
