Sonic is not even a series where you have a singular creator's vision like Metal Gear or the like. We don't have a Hideo Kojima who directs and writes.

I'm curious how real that is. I will say tho, there is a merit to your words. Sonic X, the OVA, and the Sword of Cucks have Sonic with a personality that goes beyond "the inspiring wind", and allows him to de-tense and have fun.

I believe the windfags took one description from Sonic Rush too far, to the point now they are defining him as this otherwordly Superman figure - and Superman is more flexible than that as well.
