I'll answer your question straight though. "Respectable Profession", sure, at one point. Like, its not something that's proud work like a fireman or a doctor, but it also was a legitimate career path more than flipping burgers at BK. It was just a niche offshoot of journalism for a specific crowd off magazine goers. Think like the guy who would write articles for a fucking fishing magazine, somebody does it and it's whatever.
