That's understandable, capes are purely cosmetic and the preorder armors are just reskins of existing armors down to the passive, but the medium killzone armor actually has a gameplay impact and the rifle has an actual niche it fills (although that has become questionable now that you can customize other weapons to become more like it, if not even outperform it)
But I don't think FOMO in any game has almost ever been about a genuine fear of not being able to match other people because they have something that gives them an edge that you absolutely cannot get anymore, I think it's mostly just jealousy and that's perfectly understandable to some degree.
Personally I am a very tiny bit bothered that I don't have the pre-order armors but I'm not going to raise a fuss about it, they're rewards for people who had faith in the studio and took a chance on them. I didn't, so I don't get rewarded. But what does actually annoy me is that people are being dishonest when they complain about the Killzone FOMO when they very well might own "FOMO" items of their own. If you're going to complain about injustice, at least be objective about it.
