I felt that way until I researched what thresholds are required for each stat type and part of the career. That said, these only hold for the mandatory races. When you step outside the story races and try to do an extra race, anything can happen. You just won the Osaka Sho with 15,000 fans. And now you want to try this random G2 race that only gives 4,500 fans? Ha, get wrecked noob. It has higher Stamina nd WIT requirements than the G1 story race you just did, because the game removes the story handicap.
