Umasume has 3% base SSR rates which shits all over Genshin's .6% base until you're 70ish pulls deep and soft pity begins.
Unlike Genshin you don't need to pull the same characters and weapons over and over, you do want duplicates of Support Cards but a single copy of a character is enough for the rare ones. This game has much more generous selectors and uncap items to directly upgrade your stuff as well.
Umasume has systems for obtaining characters without even rolling for them. For example the Legends Race right now lets you earn roughly 80 shards for a specific 3 star over 3 days, and it costs 150 to redeem them directly so when they're rerun you now just own them outright. There are additional ways to get these star shards in a few different shops as well. The shards also let you upgrade the characters, so a 1 star can unironically become max rarity (and actually roughly as strong as 5 stars should be, there is no Dehya in this game).
Umasume has a much better "failed to get what you wanted" payout because when a banner ends, you don't have to wait a year for the next banner of that character, it enters the base pool permanently and you'll be spooked by them. There's also not 80% garbage in the banners, especially the character banners, because extra copies of cards give you Statues, which are essentially wildcard character shards since you trade them for shards in a shop.
