Tachyon didn't win four G1's back to back, they won a non-graded race followed by a G3 then a G2 and then finally a G1 (Though the G1 in question was a triple crown race so it had more prestige). They made a splash not just because they were undefeated, but because they clearly were better than the rest of their generation. Fuji Kiseki had an almost identical career but wasn't given as much respect because, in the eyes of the racing public, they likely couldn't have over-come the currently running Mayano Top Gun in a long race.
