Ahriman or Mephiston are way more powerful, and eldar psykers haven't been able to compete since the Fall for obvious reasons

There were no UM in Badab, or many other wars.
They're just the focus of the codexes, rule a big chunk of the Eatern imperium, and after Guilliman's return they follow him into the biggest and most relevant battles.
But you mentioning eldar really says it all.
