You use infiltrate not to get closer but to be able to place them last in good places to peak out. you always want to be careful against fast melee armies you have two options, hold way back and deny them a charge against any of your infiltrators, while covering firing lanes. Eldar soldier models basically never look good because they just look like regular imperial guard humans in proportions and movement. Proportions are completely fucking wrong fro the race. Don't even get started on Dark Eldar models where they often have fucking 6 pack pot bellies.
Eldar models frankly, should look more like infinity mini's in the proportions of them, they also rarely have a sense of speed to them. I know people don't like Artel W's interpretations of Banshees (no idea why, official banshees look absolute dogshit like all Eldar aspects bar warp spiders), but his posing of them is 1000x better than anything GW have ever put out in terms of capturing the grace and speed of Eldar.

Far too many were falling into the Gears of War trap of having regenerating health where you would duck behind one of the myriad chest-high walls every battlefield was littered with, suck your thumb for a few seconds until the hurties went away then go back to the stop and pop shooting gallery gameplay.

superglue is better for attaching models to bases. Because it's more brittle than plastic cement, if you drop your model it's more likely to snap off the base than break (hopefully)

Just make sure they aren't used casino dice. Casinos sell off their old dice when they rotate in new ones and they usually drill a hole in them or something to mark them clearly so people don't bring them back to the casino and cheat. It also throws off the balance.

Do you have a GW store near you? It’s genuinely a good environment for a total beginner as they’ll likely have scheduled learning days where they show off the rules and you’ll play a small learning game. I never used to give a fuck about super glue, but I got three tubes from the same dollar store all labeled the same with the same upc, purchased at the same time. One was thin like water, one was like cold butter and the other was a rock. I very gone through two bottles of bob smith and they've both been identical and are a really nice consistency. The debonder also saved my ass so many times when gluing resin models

I think a big change is that when I started I was very lazy about cleaning up spills, especially when laying down the blue basecoats. "I'll just cover it later its fine" but then when I'd apply the runelord brass the spills would be noticeable.
Now because Im faster in other areas of painting (all the details like the armor shine or lightning or general highlighting are much less timeconsuming) I can take my time more on the initial basecoating aspects.

I really like this new ravenguard nigga. I'm trying to build a thematic list but what the fuck is a "stealth" army supposed to look like? I really hate scouts, eliminators and infiltrators but I think the jump pack guys look alright. Maybe 500 points can be dedicated to jump packs and the rest of the army can just be regular space marine units like tanks, dreadnoughts and battle line infantry.
