Kill team products have weird lifecycles because it's obvious that gw considers these proper additions to the main game, but they also want FOMO to hit as hard as possible so they're brought to make them normal products only after months of being kill team products, and even then their pricing scheme has gone so out of wack that kill teams made from an old kit+an extra sprue are ridiculously overpriced, so ridiculously underperforming in sales when left to be just normal products instead of supported kill teams.

We have had that teaser image of a custodian guardian spear for HH 3.0 for a while now.
And based on its design it is entirely new guardian spear. So it is either GW updating the entire custodian guard kit or the weapon belongs to a new custodes character.

Sand+PVA glue painted with AK chocolate chipping then drybrushed with AK Light Earth.

Apparently (I can't confirm) using white acrylic ink to thin down white paint makes a white paint that is decent to work with. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case as acrylic ink has milky water properties so it can probably thin acrylic hobby paint and the white pigments mixing together only adds to each other.

Got a chance to try one of the ak basing pastes last night and really liked it. Feels almost like slightly molten marshmallow, it's very sticky, so it stays where you put it, but is spreadable in a pretty thin layer. Didn't play around with thinning it yet, or painting, just applied it straight out the pot. Doubt I'll replace my usual basing method of grout and modeling paste cause it's so cheap but I'll keep it in my back pocket when I'm feeling lazy

The transport isn't a unit of 2, that's just the defender. The tranport just splits the 10 man into 2 5-man units that you can either put into 2 of the tranports or have one on the field.
Regardless it's a stupid idea. The gist I get from the new stuff, even though I thoroughly enjoy the models, is that we didn't need most of it.

They saw that we had two different units for terminators and gravis equivalent units and said "why don't we join those two into one unit?" For some reason. First, you'll never convince me that these idiots are a 2+ save instead of a 3+ save. They're clearly space marine equivalent in armor. Next, they throw hearthguard into the trash by doing their job as terminators so much better, and GW decided we somehow needed yet another heavy infantry-with-gun unit to replace thunderkyn. Why? From a flavor-standpoint, these should've been twice the size and been closer to kastelan robots. They would've fleshed out different roles in the army much better. I do love the models, though.

Painting is super fun but also pretty hard. Took me an evening and I'm like 30% done with multiple fuck ups already. I feel evil guard is the most underexplored concept in warhammer. One of the main things that makes the imperial guard fun is the fact they are mostly just random half illiterate peasant people from shithole hive worlds getting taken from their even scrawnier PDF unit. Your initial supply of blanks you could theoretically pull from the population with a labor intensive search, and then you put these dudes through Space Marine training, killing a bunch.
This doesn't make them any more resistant to physical threats, so while a lot of Warp fuckery is nullified, they'll still lose dudes thanks to attrition.
But proper strong Blanks are rare, and even the Imperium will run out of Blanks to turn into Space Marines eventually.

Not exactly the whole Ynnari premise (well technically at least) that they have a way to finish creation of Ynnead without offing Eldar race by finding 5 McGuffins, but Ynnari literally dropps the search for final McGuffin to aid Bobby durring Plague Wars for no reasons which led to Hellbane finding last McGuffin and delievering it into Slaanesh Palace.

The original point of the Ynnari was to birth Ynnead without needing to kill all the Eldar. The plan was to find these special swords that would empower Ynnead to defeat Slaanesh. Three of those are used by Yvraine, the Visarch and the Yncarne, with the fourth being Yriel's spear. Then the Psychic Awakening campaign from a few years ago revealed that the final sword is apparently in Slaanesh's palace, and the Ynnari plot line has been in limbo ever since

The most recent development from the recent codex is that the Ynnari have become a death cult that now wishes to kill all Eldar. Eldrad, Jain Zar and Lelith have all disavowed themselves from the Ynnari, and Iyanna, the original Yvraine, is now back at her previous quest of collecting tear stones to empower Ynnead. They pretty much reverted the status quo

1. Geneseed has a psychic component to it. BAngles are a good example of it, with Black Rage making them live out Sanguinius' last moments through a purely psychic connection. Without a soul, the geneseed will probably not develop properly.
2. Part of the initiation is psychic screening by the chapter's librarius. Its unsafe to just accept everyone. You can't look inside the mind of a blank.
