I do not give one iota of a fuck about Tangle or Whisper or Belle or Jewel or any other fucker they can introduce to be yet another Sonic Friend™ that offers nothing the main characters don't already provide.

The OC villains have at least done something, with varying success, but they're far more interesting than the crying lesbians or Angry McRetard the Sheep. The problem isn't writing him as a resistance fighter, the problem is sticking him in some kind of militia.
Putting Sonic in the situation of some kind of organised war effort - ignoring the innate ridiculousness of the concept - doesn't even fit him as a character as Sonic would just do things his own way as and when needed.

Sonic would NOT attend organisational meetings.
