interview with the vampire is really good. even with that spoiled, it's worth the read imo. although it does drone on a bit in certain parts. you follow louis through most of it, and he's kind of a giant pussy who feels a LOT and gets kinda whiny (imo).
i thought the book was at its best when it was lestat being a charismatic twat and going out at night to kill people with claudia, who would masquerade as his daughter. together they'd lull normies into a false sense of security and then feast on them, while louis would stay home and cry about how awful everything was lol
would still recommend though. would recommend uprooted too. both fun novels.
