in s2 there are a couple times where she looks like she's on the edge of a breakdown but manages to push through it until the end fight, kenny and jane trying to kill each other along with aj being presumed dead was too much for her
iirc one of the devs for s3 said that clementine would've gotten herself killed if she hadn't found out that aj was still alive, something along the lines of her picking a fight over something that ultimately didn't matter and dying for it
