But the game does not freeze you retard, random encounters are core part of dungeon exploration which are meant to tax player's ability to manage resources, items, MP etc. and judge when they should push forward or when should they go back and resupply.
Any half decent dungeon crawler does it and it's why people always get filtered by obelisk in nocturne.
