How about we do the same thing to always online games as we've done to tobacco products, slap on a huge "This software may arbitrarily cease functioning at any time it is convenient to the publisher" label that takes up half the box art.
This way the consumer is fully informed of what he is getting into and the publisher has to do nothing.
