You're definitely getting my brain juices flowing, thank you for the earnest answer. The campaign itself is based on a Warhammerfication of Rise of the Runelords (hence why the big titty Samurai is Nipponese, she's the sister of Ameiko Kaijitsu, from Sandpoint - or in this case, Sandspitze.)
I could very easily go from Rise of the Runelords to Jade Regent, which is a "sequel" to Rise of the Runelords where you discover the Kaijitsu family are the exiled Imperial line of Minkai (or in this case, Nippon) after a cruel despot rose to power with the aid of a daemonic backer. There are multiple directions I could go with this; Tzeentch and the Skaven (such as Clan Eshin) are behind the rise of the Jade Regent, in which case it wouldn't be hard to explain that Golkhan's body was claimed by some Skaven who fled doomed Mordheim and have been tinkering with the corpse in their Warrens within Nippon - Warrens which, I might add, have never been given proper explanation.
Golkhan's corpse was encased in Ghyran-infused (Warpstone?) armor which gives him the facsimile of life (if Malekith can have it, so can someone else, and that damned fox would be with them every step of the way, going along the Silver Road through the Darklands, and then the Mountains of Mourn, and then finally Cathay before the final stretch into Nippon itself.
