Sumeragi is really fucked up. Nova is okay though, but he still an asshole (mostly because he hates GV, he actually behaves a lot like X when not butting heads with Gunvolt).
>GV2 - Eden is composed mostly of orphans who've lost everything and have been pushed into the corner. They've been radicalized by opression and injustice, up to pogroms and genocide, so are lashing out against a world which wants to destroy them. Bosses like Desna are some of the nicest characters in Gunvolt. It has the youngest boss line up of all the games (oldest boss character is around 18-19), whereas iX and GV3 had adults mostly. Destroying Eden is implied to not have truly fixed anything and more groups will arise that will continue to perpetuate the circle of violence (up until GV3 conviniently wraps everything up in a bow).
>GV3 - Baddies aren't that bad, just dumb (and Japan/Sumeragi is hated/distrusted around the world, so it's reasonable that they jump to the worst conclusions), but it's okay since you befriend them all in the end anyways.
