Copen is a serial killer with maybe hundreds of innocents on his hands who comes off as far more racist than the genocidal cult. Zonda is a cult leader terrorist who tried to kill Mytyl/Joule to genocide all nonadepts. ZED invaded another country to fuse Layla with the godbaby so he could rewrite reality to make himself God-Emperor. Nova tried to mindcontrol all adepts, turning them into an army of mindslaved soldiers for Sumeragi's global conquest. Asimov only gets as much hate because he's an old man in comparison. For the others, you could say that they're still developing and have a chance of reforming and changing their ways, which you can't say for Asimov.

I've been trying to get into Mega Man X and I fucking hate this game. Can I just skip to Zero?

Kirin would adore Pantera, her world is essentially what Pantera's fighting for.
I can't see any real reason for them to fight, it's not like Kirin's gonna go "no don't kill the nazis think of their feeweengs" as the many crimes of non-septimals are incredibly blatant.
Maybe it's just a friendly anime sparring match with nothing at stake.

And done, GV1's S+ requirements are just as brutal as I remember.

Yes, but the means to achieve it would be what Kirin would balk at. I know it's a meme to portray Kirin, ZED, and future GV as basically Eden members, but none of them want to kill minos. Kirin may be lowkey racist towards minos, thinking they can't accomplish anything of note, but that doesn't mean she wants them all dead. She likes coexistence. ZED likewise wouldn't mind seeing minos go extinct, but he sees it happening as a natural consequence of minos + adepts breeding adepts and many minos + minos relationships producing adepts, so doesn't actually implement any oppressive policies towards minos. Again, he'd probably have even more of a beef with Zonda's plans than Kirin as he could point out she'd be killing many more future adepts that would be born from those minos.

It goes beyond just defending yourself. Zonda's issue was that it wouldn't require killing all the minos to get the adept oppression to stop, or at least the adept oppression committed by minos. You can't really expect her to be rational about it; she and everyone around her have horror stories about minos cruelty. But then, I don't think her plan to enhance all adepts with a personal muse would have resulted in adepts massacring nonadepts like she and GV assume (again, Zonda is biased from everyone around her seething at minos she assumes that's the norm). On the flip side, giving a broken kid like her ultimate power is a recipe for disaster. What's to stop her from freaking out and upending the table when the adepts decide not to murder every nonseptimal. This last point was why I was dissapointed we didn't get to see "Zonda's future" like Nova and Asimov.

The stupidest thing in GV2 was how shaky Zonda's plan was. If Nova had completed Project Muse, than Eden was fucked. If Joule had died, then that's it, over. And Joule did die, but a miracle happened that allowed GV to absorb Joule's septisome. Even in the intro stage, they nearly killed Mytyl by accident when they sent the airship into Sumeragi tower. I don't get this interpretation, as Nova is a lot more cruel in his taunts than Zonda. It's the 8-4 interpretation. She talks a big game about family and saving adepts, behaving like a little girl guided by love and religious revelation, but when GV/Copen meets her in face to face, she's much more mature, bitchy, and flippant. Her language shifts from kind pure maiden to sadistically quippy. She oozes with slimy condescension, acting chummy with Gunvolt and treating him like a child as she details how she's going to kill Joule and Mytyl. She's basically a bully, and nobody likes bullies. She callously blows off her family's sacrifice, and is just a very unlikable person.

It's subtle and actually good characterization for a villain, but 8-4 are translators, not re-interpretors. I think 8-4 wanted to imply she was an lolibaba type or adult faking at being a kid, because the final fight is messed up in the Jap version. They also removed every reference of her age from the script (some of the Jap dialogue and blurbs mention she's a child), in additon to ommitting all the times GV says he will not give his enemies mercy, even if they surrender, or Copen basically quoting Mein Kampf whenever he starts ranting about adept impurity and degeneracy, and comparing them to vermin and cancer.
