In WOTR, there are woke elements, and no one disputes that, and they make the game worse for sure. But they are FAR fewer than in BG3, and they’re all very superficial, done just for show.
In BG3, you can clearly see how the developers were passionate about themes like refugees, squatting, transgender issues, and more.
For example, they raise the issue of deadnaming in one of the dialogues, made all the gnomes gay, and included a TON of trans characters in the game.
