You misunderstand the context. There are times where game devs are wrong, and only doing what's bad for a game. They not only fail to utilize it's potential, they fuck the game up in the most baffling of ways, before using "muh vision" or random bullshit as an excuse. Because at the end of the day, the voice of the rational side of a playerbase is more important than any "vision" or opinions you have. Without players you can't make money, and without money you can't make games. You're essentially admitting you respect people who pick a bad hill to die on. There's a huge difference between bending the knee when you're wrong, and bending the knee when others are wrong.
