There's always companies out there like Arrowhead and Hi-Rez who ignore their fans, throw literal tantrums for the world to see, try their absolute hardest to kill their game, then bend the knee at the last second when the game is on it's death bed, only to give the most halfassed attempt at redemption before letting the game die for good. Most game devs are retarded losers who hate games and just want to steal valor.

You misunderstand the context. There are times where game devs are wrong, and only doing what's bad for a game. They not only fail to utilize it's potential, they fuck the game up in the most baffling of ways, before using "muh vision" or random bullshit as an excuse. Because at the end of the day, the voice of the rational side of a playerbase is more important than any "vision" or opinions you have. Without players you can't make money, and without money you can't make games. You're essentially admitting you respect people who pick a bad hill to die on. There's a huge difference between bending the knee when you're wrong, and bending the knee when others are wrong.

cant stand the writing in modern kids movies but something happened in the last 5 years or so where they all look SO much better. Its like every studio realized at the same time that they're making cartoons and they can do cartoon stuff. the smears, drawing on top of the models, the clear keyframing and animating in twos, its really great.
still not watching it because im jaded and old but as a 2d animation freak I'm glad those techniques seem to have finally been integrated into the 3d realm
