When it's a period piece from the 1980s or earlier and yet people speak as they would today. People didn't used to use the word 'literally' 40 times a day for no good reason, or say shit like "I know, right!"
So when some character from the past starts using any lingo or politically correct words that would not have been used at the time, I'm done.
Modern writers are terrible about that kind of thing.
