Average jews read a page per day, there's some global program they follow and it takes years to finish.
I take type theory/logic and jews at my school always talked about Talmudic logic so I read some of it and there is a logic system built in they're supposed to follow they use to filter.
It's basically a chronicle where every minor statement is recorded like some peasant farmer jew will chime in on some law saying something totally insane while there exists a dozen other opinions. I assume the Hadiths are the same yet not as thoroughly recorded where they only kept unanimous opinions.
