he might have been subconsciously meaning to branch out of his guidelines for a while and the excuse of getting to make "matoor" and more conflict driven stories for engagement was perfect to do so but the only one he bothered to make this all for doesn't want to participate on principle of hating him, so now he has a bit of a grudge going on with Zooble and their banter. Which could all lead to nothing, but it's fun nonetheless

It is and it's really intriguing how all he has made to please Zooble was based on assumptions on what he thinks they wanted to see (Zooble themselves mentions next episode why Caine thought they would be interested in the hell mission in the first place because it sounded horrible after Pomni explained)
