Maybe conflict is the best way Caine has found to engage the humans mentally after trial and error. This is why I have lost a lot of interest and respect for the show. They only have so many episodes, arcs and themes to cover and they have already wasted 2 episodes with just filler. Unless the last remaining episodes become longer or Goose decides to do more this is going to become a rushed mess. I have already been put off by the total tonal shift since episode four and how insincere it has all become. TADC is becoming Gregory's Horror Show, irreverent characters trapped in a goofy yet hostile meta setting where underlying trauma is briefly brought up to keep up the appearances of depth. But unlike Gregory's Horror Show which was clear from the start what it's game was and had an underground following, TADC's recent episodes have been made to inlcude X or Y to maximise mass market appeal on twitter or youtube in place of sincerity like with episode 1 through 3. The only thing that kept my hopes up was the end of episode 4 with the climax around Gangle, but everything before then from stupid sauce, le creepy Gangle molesting Jax, lol they work fast food and Pomni horni for the ausie while being meta like Morty from Rick a Morty sucked.

In fact, the more that I think about it, TADC is just a modern Gregory's Horror Show that has switched out the paranormal elements for digital ones.

I find Jax and Gangle interesting. I know this general only cares about them insofar as how into each other they are, but there's a lot of underyling weirdness in how they interact with each other. Whenever Jax picks a single partner for anything, it's almost always Gangle. In episode 2 he specifically makes Gangle his driver and in episode 5 he makes her the second extremist suicide bomber. This isn't just a him thing either, in episode 4 she singled him out by far the most for extra tasks to do and, despite the fact that Zooble was encouraging her, it's pretty clear that the whole maid dress thing was her idea. Yet despite this, they still seem pretty chill with each other all things considered. I mean Jax obviously isn't going to hold grudges, but from what we saw in episode 5 he does somewhat care about her feelings, and Gangle is one of the only people in the circus who go up to and talk to Jax without any animosity. Compare this to how Jax gets very annoyed by Ragatha for her supposed "fakeness" (which is probably why he said he liked Gangle better when she was sad in episode 4) and how Zooble and Ragatha generally can't stand Jax even during (somewhat) polite conversation. I feel like Jax kinda sees Gangle as a sidekick of sorts since she's easy to push around, while Gangle doesn't object in part because she's too softspoken, but also because she (as Jax put it) "likes it when he's mean to her" because she craves any kind of attention, even if bad. With how things are going though, it seems Zooble being nice to and hanging out with Gangle is allowing her a positive outlet for attention, and since Jax is very clearly jealous of that, he's spending more time with Pomni as a result, which ironically has made Ragatha jealous of him. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this dynamic develops in episode 6.

We got thorough backstory details, connections and further arc development of Ragatha's awkward attitude towards Pomni that started from Episode 1. There's all pay off, it's just character based.

I like her because of her complex. She is a tragic character.
She is afraid of showing her real emotions, because she sees herself as unlovable. This was shown in the scene where she finally snaps with Jax during the softball game.

Since Ragatha grew up with an abusive family that clearly diminished her self-worth, she tries to make friends and, in a sense, "earn" relationships the only way she knows how. This, of course, still pushes people away due to how "fake" her kindness can come across at the very least.
So, essentially, Ragatha is trapped in a self-sabotaging cycle of wanting meaningful, loving relationships with other people (which I think she was trying to have with Pomni), before losing those friends from an annoying "sweetness" and lack of connection that eventually puts people off, leaving her completely socially isolated at the very end.

The reason she is tragic is that because of how she acts, no one supports her. She has a terribly low self worth and as a result, endures through much pain, but no one says anything. Either because they can't see through her, or because they know Ragatha would just deny their support either way.

I have no CLUE what that scene means and I think anyone who explains it away casually as "suicide" or "a joke" isn't engaging hard enough with the challenging moments.

That entire scene seems very open for interpretation, since it's totally devoid of the usual bluntness that comes with this series, and the emotional direction seems to be directing you to feel a sense of both relief and anxiety. It's practically operatic, it's so fucking interesting. Combined with the fact Goose was apparently EXTREMELY particular about the way that scene was animated, it makes me thing it's some deep, gutteral expression of the emotions that come with suicide, not meant to be taken as a literal suicide metaphor but more as something that's supposed to be a visual demonstration of how someone who's lost in life feels.

But anon that doesn't mean the moment is any less important, it was still a big step in Gangle accepting who she is and realising that the happy masks aren't really good for her it's better to be herself, sadness and all. So in a way yes she no longer has to keep her sadness at bay, at least not all the time like she was trying, but that doesn't mean giving up and killing herself even if it won't stick.
