I really don't see how Tails is a jobber under Maekawa. And I don't see how he "made him a jobber" to prop up Shadow because... What? What does Shadow have to do with Tails?
Like I would understand if you think that Sonic in 06 is a jobber to prop up Silver. That makes sense. But Tails and Shadow barely interacted under Maekawa

And how does that ruin Eggman? He was working with the good guys to escape that prison and later to avoid being killed by Metal Overlord. It was circumstantial.

Ok then. I mean that's a matter of opinion. I like the Storybook games narratively because they're Isekai stories and I like experimentation

We don't know to which extent Sonic X was supervised by Sonic Team. Sonic Prime was also supervised by Sonic Team and look how it turned out. Also Maekawa was in the US until 2004 and by that point Sonic X series 1 was already complete
