Wealth is generate by resource extraction. Everything else is just the transfer or transformation of wealth. Farming, logging, mining, fishing, oil drilling, and energy generation are the backbones of building wealth. Factories are how you transform those raw materials into commodities, increasing wealth generation.

Canada has cut back on most forms of resource extraction and regulate the shit out of what little remains. They also shut down most of their factories. Their only hope of actually increasing their wealth is through tourism.

Europe has much the same issue. They don't extract or refine anything anymore, and it's why Europe is losing wealth rapidly. The only thing Europe has over Canada is tourism. Turns out France can do literally nothing and still sustain itself through tourism.

Your daily reminder that Europe has barely any growth and it's all legacy companies.

People have zero idea just how poor Europe is. Beyond some old buildings and nice gardens, a lot of Europe is poorer than Mississippi or Alabama. "Yuropoor" is not just a meme, it's a reality.

No seriously, Mississippi's median income is the same as Norway's, adjusted for PPP. Maybe the only advantage is less niggers, but wait a decade or two, they'll fuck that up too.
