Before the 3D era I would agree, although Totodile comes close.
Unfortunately the 3D models were not kind to my beloved pear, and I think Totodile's shiny passes it from gen 6 onward.

This is modern day Game Freak, to be fair. I don't even know if the new starters are getting megas (I hope they are, because the alternative is most likely regional variants, which you can't exactly opt out of like you can with megas. If I don't like Mega Meganium I can just use the base form), they really do make a lot of unpredictable decisions. This one just happened to work in my favor.

Appreciated. Life's been a lot nicer since I started coming here less and avoiding starterwar nonsense instead of provoking it. I hope that someday we can all just get along instead of starting shit for no good reason. It'd be nice to have a way to discuss Pokemon anonymously without it devolving into pointless arguments.
