I'm not at all sure how you think private residential properties built in hurricane prone areas are comparable to the hundreds of bridges that have collapsed in china, or the many other state funded projects that the chinese tax payers are paying for that are nothing but rubble. The housing conditions in the poorest parts of china are africa tier.
The chinese tax payers are paying for shoddy national projects that simply will not and do not last. It's quick GDP gains now for infinite debt later.
