yeah it do be like that sometimes. knowing and remembering doesn't mean you can't make the same mistake again, just.... less likely.....

its worse when you think people don't remember or care but they really do.
a friend of mine, he said something a bit stupid one time but I understood what he was trying to say, it was just phrased poorly. I still joked about it but I did understand what he meant.
for the next 20 years he has regularly had that brought up, at least once every few months by some of our other friends, they genuinely didn't even understand what he was getting at and he has had to cop this for so long, he quite a few times has gotten I would say irrationally angry, but frankly its quite warranted anger.
hes quite literally lived in my opinion the nightmare scenario of this.
