The kind of Sonic I want to see come back is the one who would get a hat or small costume change and immediately break out in a cheesy MJ dance to show off how cool he is. Tails being unphased by this sequence of events because he expects this behavior and Shadow/Knuckles doing the "good grief this guy." pose.

I have an autistic headcanon that the reason why the future is always fucked up for Silver is because no matter what happens in Sonic's timeline Eggman eventually burns the world down and it inevitably kills Sonic and himself and in place of Blaze in 06, it's a guilt-ridden older Shadow that helps Silver get back to the past.

Shadow and Tails fight in Sonic Heroes, Rivals, and Battle. Most of the time with Shadow engaging the fight first. Then there's Sonic X.

I feel like that's true but in Battle, Shadow starts fighting Tails and Emerl out of nowhere. (Well I guess he wanted to destroy Emerl but that's still very irrational of him.) In Sonic Heroes he only fights Tails because he's part of Team Sonic. I forgot why Shadow fought Tails in Rivals though.
