The story goes that elites were being targeted by her, so they put a hit on her themselves. She survived but is now missing an eye. She was presumed dead and now she’s in hiding.

I want to keep her attacker’s identity a secret because she never figured out who it was. I don’t have anything set in stone for her after she went into hiding, as I believe leaving it more open-ended leaves more storytelling opportunities with her. That’s why I said one could be where she becomes an assassin and is being targeted again, hence your drawing.

I never got too into it even when trying the romhack, but it felt like they took the aspects of the adventure era games (specifically the ranking for tricks) and a kind of proto-boost with Air. Cars could've worked for this but it felt like they wanted to chase the cart racer trend instead. Also how is it only drift ever used Fang even in fanmods, they have bikes for EGs so there's no reason not to include him.

After watching this video, I understand a bit how it serves Sonic. The guy claimed that to evolve Steve without changing him, it put him in a different world and also challenged his beliefs. I think that's similar to what Black Knight accomplished, which is part of why the otherworld/isekai trope serves Sonic so well. I think it's fair to say Sonic has not really been put in many situations that make him "the bad guy" since Black Knight—Prime was close, but ultimately a disappointment because of the writers. I'd like to see that go all the way. Or probably do it myself.

Amy was the gag bonus character in the Advance series. In Battle she wore weights that were heavy to a six-year-old girl, but so do I, and I'm nowhere near as strong as Knuckles. Amy was slow and weak in 06 and relies on stealth and acrobatics. Amy can't do shit in Unleashed or Lost World. She was never intended as a strong, fast, or extraordinary character before Forces and Frontiers chose to change the direction of her character.
She WAS meant to be an underdog, an outsider, and very heartfelt in a way the other characters were not. She was not an action lead, she was a flawed, nuanced, comedic girl character that also had a lot of heart. That was her niche and that's what made her iconic and beloved. She didn't step on any toes, but now she does.

I never said I disliked Shadow. I like him for the story her serves and the purpose he gives for SA2's plot and he serves as a decent enough rival character. My problem with him is his popularity leading to the entire franchise bending over backwards to incorporate his moody, edgy self in almost anything they can put him into to appeal to his fans and get their money.
Shadow should have, in any reasonable situation, been retired after SA2 at least for a while. Instead he directly lead to over half the cast getting vaulted for over a decade and the moment they take him back out the exact same fucking problems he caused last time start rearing their ugly heads. This franchise simply is not meant to have a character like Shadow be a constant player in it. Sonic is supposed to be cool and edgy as is. You know how some blazefags hate silver for basically reducing her character to a silver fanboy? Well the original version of that are Rougefags who similarly hate the fact that much of her original characterization was derailed so that she could be a supporting character for shadow. When she appeared without him in prime and dreamteam, shadowfags cried bloody murder and complained that they were trying to glue her to knuckles. Except, whenever she appears alongside knuckles, her whole character doesn't revolve around him. If anything, Knuckles usually plays the support role.

I just want to clarify this isn't about shipping. It's just that if you're a rougefag, you're probably better off with her appearing with someone who is basically her equal.
